SARL Members Research Assignments

Members of the Laboratory have carried out since the 1990s more than 250 international and national  multidisciplinary research and capacity building projects that address one or more of its thematic priorities:  a) social insurance, b) social welfare, c) social inclusion, d) health care and mental health, e) employment and labour relations, f) education, g) vocational training and life – long learning, h) occupational welfare (including second pillar pensions), i) social economy and social entrepreneurship, j) social housing and k) history and ideology of the social state.  Funds come from government departments, local authorities, charitable foundations, overseas governments and EU institutions.

In addition, founding members of the Laboratory have carried out – as academic staff of the Athens University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) – relevant multidisciplinary research and capacity building projects. The Project focused on the design and implementation of a Total Quality Model in the Chronic Care Services for Patients with Neoplasmatic Disease, available both for persons in hospital and domiciliary care. This model was accredited by ISO 9001:2008 and applied in two oncology hospitals, those of Agion Anargiron and Hospital Metaxas
