SOCIAL HOUSING RESEARCH HUB
Dimitris Apistoulas, MA and BA in public administration, is a member of the Social Welfare & Inclusion Research Hub and the Social Housing Research Hub at SARL. He has undertaken research in Greek Universities in areas relating to social welfare, labour market and social housing.
He is currently a senior expert at the National School of Public Administration and Local Government, and he has been providing services both to central administration agencies and local authorities in the context of high level policy and capacity building projects in Greece and abroad (sectors: social welfare, labour market, migration and asylum seekers).
His research interests focus on the management and funding of social welfare and active employment measures; he is co-author of three books and has published in Greek journals.
Dimitris Bourikos

SOCIAL HOUSING RESEARCH HUB
Dimitris Bourikos, MA in public administration and BA in social work, is a member of the Social Welfare & Inclusion Research Hub and the Social Housing Research Hub at SARL. He has graduated from the National School of Public Administration (specialty: Regional Administration).
He is currently a permanent employee in the Directorate-General for Social Solidarity of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, dealing with the management of housing programmes, and he has been providing services both to central administration agencies and local authorities in the context of high level policy and capacity building projects in Greece (sectors: social welfare, family and demography).
His research interests focus on the management and funding of social welfare and housing; he is co-author of three books and has published in Greek journals.
Konstantinos Doukakis
RESEARCH HUB FOR THE HISTORY AND IDEOLOGY OF THE SOCIAL STATE
Konstantinos Doukakis, D.Phil. in Economic History, M.Sc. and B.Sc., is a member of the Research Hub for the History and Ideology of the Social State at SARL. He has undertaken research and teaching in Greek and Cypriot Universities in areas relating to economic and social history, European civilization and governance.
He is currently a tutor in the Greek Open University, while he has been providing services both to central administration agencies and local authorities in the context of high level policy, capacity building and research projects in Greece (sectors: social insurance, social welfare and regional development).
His research interests focus on the analysis of modern European economic and social history and the development of EU and national social policy regimes; he is author and co-author of five books and has published in international edited books and journals.
Dimitris Emmanuel
SOCIAL HOUSING RESEARCH HUB
Dimitris Emmanuel, Ph.D and M.Sc. in urban social geography, is a member of the Social Housing Research Hub at SARL. He has undertaken teaching and research in Greek and international Universities in areas relating to social housing, poverty and urban development policies, and he served as senior policy consultant on behalf of national administrations and International Organizations.
He is currently an Emeritus Research Director of the National Centre for Social Research (Research Director during 2004-2017), and he served as the Head of the Research and Policy Unit of DEPOS, the Public Corporation for Planning and Housing (1979-2003).
His research interests focus on the economic and social analysis of housing and urban development; he is author and co-author of four books and has published in international edited books and journals.
Konstantinos Geormas

SOCIAL ECONOMY AND SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP RESEARCH HUB
Konstantinos Geormas, PhD, MA and BA in Sociology, is a member of the Social Welfare & Inclusion Research Hub and the Social Economy & Social Entrepreneurship Research Hub at SARL. He has graduated from the National School of Public Administration (specialty: Social Administration).
He is currently the Director of the National Welfare Benefits Agency and a lecturer at the National School of Public Administration and Local Government in areas relating to employment, social entrepreneurship and social policy.
He served as the founder of the Greek Social Economy Registry and a member of the Steering Committee on Social Economy (Ministry of Labour, Social Insurance and Social Welfare); he has also participated in various high level Working Groups and Committees drawing up National Action Plans about social inclusion, pensions etc.
He has undertaken research and teaching in Greek Universities in areas relating to employment, social entrepreneurship and social policy.
His research interests focus on the analysis of employment, social entrepreneurship and social policy and the development of EU and national social inclusion regimes; he is author and co-author of five books and has published in national and international edited books and journals.
Theodoros Fouskas

Theodoros Fouskas, PhD, MA and BA in Sociology, is a member of the Social Welfare & Inclusion Research Hub at SARL. He has undertaken research and teaching in Greek Universities in areas relating to migration, migrant labour and migrant community organizations.
He has been providing services both to central administration agencies and local authorities in the context of high level policy, capacity building and research projects in Greece and abroad (sectors: migration and asylum seekers).
His research interests focus on the analysis of migration policies, irregular migration and the development of EU and national social inclusion regimes; he is author and co-author of three books and has published in international edited books and journals.
Apostolos Ioakimidis
SOCIAL ECONOMY AND SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP RESEARCH HUB
Apostolos Ioakimidis, MA and BA in Law, is a member of the Social Economy and Social Entrepreneurship Research Hub at SARL. He has undertaken research, monitoring and capacity building activities as a permanent member of the European Commission (1981-2016) in areas relating to social welfare, social economy, civil society, administration of social organizations and social policy planning.
He has been providing services both to central administration agencies and local authorities in the context of high level policy, capacity building and research projects in Greece and Cyprus (sectors: social welfare, inclusion, asylum/migration, social entrepreneurship and third sector, local administration and social innovation).
His research interests focus on the development of social economy and social entrepreneurship, the regulation of third sector initiatives and social welfare; he has published in international journals.
Irini Kounenaki
SOCIAL WELFARE AND INCLUSION RESEARCH HUB
Irini Kounenaki, M.Sc. and BA in Sociology, is a member of the Social Welfare and Inclusion Research Hub at SARL.
She is currently a Special Adviser to the President of the Regional Association of Attica Municipalities and a lecturer at the National School of Public Administration and Local Government in areas relating to employment and social policy.
She served as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Agriculture (1999-2000) and the Minister of Labour (2001-2004), as a representative of the Ministry of Labour in the European Union Social Protection Committee (2002-2004), and as an official in the Social Policy Directorate of the Ministry of National Economy (2004-2007). She has been elected as a municipal councilor since 2002 and has served as deputy mayor of Social Policy in the Municipality of Pallini (2011-2017).
Her research interests focus on the interaction between employment and social welfare regimes and the development of local social policies; she has published in Greek journals.
Apostolos Kryonidis
RESEARCH HUB FOR THE HISTORY AND IDEOLOGY OF THE SOCIAL STATE
Apostolos Kryonidis, ΜSc in Finance and BA in Business Administration, is a member of the Research Hub for the History and Ideology of the Social State at SARL. He has graduated from the National School of Public Administration and Local Government (specialty: Public Administration).
He is currently the advisor for fiscal, economic and social policy agendas to the President of the Greek socialist political party “Movement for Change”. Ηe participated actively in the drafting of most of the parliamentary group’s legislative initiatives during 2015-2019 concerning economic recovery and social cohesion policies, the social insurance system, the protection of primary residence, the guaranteed minimum income scheme, the national demographic policy and family support.
He has also served as an advisor in the Ministries of Health and Social Solidarity (11/2009 – 9/2010), Education, Lifelong Learning & Religious Affairs (10/2010 – 12/2011), Interior (10/2010 – 12/2011) and Finance (7/2012 – 1/2015.
His research interests focus on the analysis of EU and national social policy regimes and the social impact of austerity measures.
Lampros Lamprinidis
Social Economy & Social Entrepreneurship Hub
Lampros Lamprinidis, PhD, M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Business Administration and Financial Management, is a member of the Social Economy & Social Entrepreneurship Hub at SARL. He is also a graduate of the Department of Administration and Economic Management of the National School of Public Administration and Local Government.
He serves as an official of the Ministry of Interior and teaches at the National Center for Public Administration and Self-Government in the fields of:
1. human resources management and development of the Public Sector, 2. political and administrative organization of the Public Sector and 3. sectors of Law
His research interests focus on the socio-political and operational analysis of social entrepreneurship, social economy and social innovation policies.
Dimitra Latsou
HEALTH CARE RESEARCH HUB
Dimitra Latsou, PhD in Economic Analysis of Social Policies, MSc and BA, is a member of the Health Care Research Hub at SARL.
She is currently an external expert in the Department of Social & Educational Policy at the University of Peloponnese, responsible for the elaboration, analysis and recording of socioeconomic and epidemiological data.
She has been providing services both to central administration agencies and local authorities in the context of high level policy, capacity building and research projects in Greece (sectors: health and social care).
Her research interests focus on the analysis of EU and national health care regimes, patient satisfaction, health related quality of life, health services’ evaluation and planning; she has published in national and international edited books and journals.
Fotini Marini
SOCIAL WELFARE AND INCLUSION RESEARCH HUB
SOCIAL ECONOMY AND SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP RESEARCH HUB
Fotini Marini, PhD in Social Security Law, is the coordinator of the “Social Welfare & Inclusion” Research Hub and a member of the “Social Economy & Social Entrepreneurship” Research Hub at SARL. She practices law since 1998 (member of the Athens Bar Association) and she has over 25 years professional experience in the provision of legal and policy consulting services both to central administration agencies and local authorities in the context of high level policy, capacity building and research projects in Greece, Cyprus and the Balkan region (sectors: employment, social welfare / social care, social inclusion, asylum/migration, social entrepreneurship, local administration and social innovation).
F. Marini has several years of experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of EU projects related to her fields of expertise. She is also familiar with the institutional and operational context of EEA & Norway Grants, as she has cooperated with the EEA & Norway Grants Financial Mechanism Office (2014-2017) as the senior Monitoring Agent for EEA Grant Programs implemented in Greece in sectors related to social development (social research, NGO Fund, asylum / migration management system, social inclusion).
F. Marini is a Certified Tutor of the Hellenic National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government, responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of training programmes in the fields of public sector capacity building and social administration, whereas she has also undertaken several research and teaching activities with academic and research institutions (Athens University of Applied Sciences, Hellenic National Centre for Social Research, Nicosia University, University of West Attica).
Her research interests focus on the regulation of social security, health, social care, anti-poverty, employment, social entrepreneurship, housing and migration policies; she is author and co-author of several books and has published in international edited books and journals.
Konstantinos Marinos
RESEARCH HUB FOR THE HISTORY AND IDEOLOGY OF THE SOCIAL STATE
Konstantinos Marinos, PhD in Political Governance, MScs and BA in Law, is a member of the Research Hub for the History and Ideology of the Social State at SARL. He has graduated from the National School of Public Administration and Local Government (specialty: Social Services Administration).
He is currently a permanent employee in the Directorate for Child and Family Protection of the Directorate-General for Social Solidarity of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, dealing with the management of grants to private social care providers, contributing on the legal framework of the new childbirth allowance, while also actively participating in the design of management modules for the National Welfare Benefits Agency.
His research interests focus on the interplay between public law and policies, the regulation of social protection and the ideology of social policy; he has published in Greek journals.
Eleni Revekka Staiou
RESEARCH HUB FOR THE HISTORY AND IDEOLOGY OF THE SOCIAL STATE
Eleni Revekka Staiou, PhD. in Communication, MSc and Bsc, is a member of the Research Hub for the History and Ideology of the Social State at SARL. She has undertaken research and teaching in Greek Universities and Colleges in areas relating to Communication, Journalism and Social and Solidarity Economy.
She has been providing services to central administration agencies, local authorities, social enterprises and private companies in the context of communication policy, capacity building and research projects in Greece.
Her research interests focus on the digital communication of persons, groups and public and private organisations and the development of Social and Solidarity Economy; she is author of one book and has published in Greek and international edited books and journals.
Dimitris Stamoulis
RESEARCH HUB FOR THE HISTORY AND IDEOLOGY OF THE SOCIAL STATE
Dimitrios Stamoulis, PhD. in Information Systems Management, MSc. and ΒSc., is a member of the Research Hub for the History and Ideology of the Social State at SARL. He has undertaken research and teaching in various Greek Universities in areas relating to IT governance, Management Information Systems and Project Management.
He now serves as the Vice President of the Supreme Confederation of Multi-Child Parents of Greece and a member of its Executive Committee, while he is an alternate member of the Greek Economic and Social Committee.
His research interests focus on demography and family policies, business and social administration, digital policies, technology governance, information systems and social services; he is author and co-author of two books and has published in international edited books and journals.
George Symeonidis

OCCUPATIONAL WELFARE RESEARCH HUB
George Symeonidis, MA in Applied Mathematics and BSc in Mathematics, is a member of the Occupational Welfare Research Hub at SARL. He has undertaken research and teaching in areas relating to pensions, pension funds and administration of social insurance schemes.
He is a member of the Hellenic Regulatory Authority for Pensions (responsible for the section related to second pillar pension funds), a board member of the International Section of Consulting Actuaries (International Actuarial Association) and a member of the Ageing Working Group (European Commission), responsible for the European Ageing Report.
His research interests focus on Actuarial Mathematics, Pension Economics and Pension Fund Administration; he is co-author of one book and has published in international edited books and journals.
Anna Tsetoura
SOCIAL INSURANCE RESEARCH HUB
Anna Tsetoura, PhD., DEA and BA in law, is a member of the Social Insurance Research Hub at SARL. She practices law (member of the Komotini Bar Association) and has undertaken research and teaching at various Greek Universities and at the National School of Judges in areas relating to European Social Security Law, Social Insurance, Retirement and Pension Systems, Health Care and Civil Society.
Her research interests focus on the protection of social rights, the sustainability of social security systems, pensions and health, comparative social law, international and European social protection policies. She has published books and articles in Greek and international journals, and since 2019 is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Journal of Social Insurance Law, published in Greek by the leading law publisher Sakkoulas.
George Vlassopoulos
EMPLOYMENT AND LABOUR RELATIONS RESEARCH HUB
George Vlassopoulos, PhD. and BA in Law, is a member of the Employment and Labour Relations Research Hub at SARL. He has undertaken research and teaching in various Greek Universities and the National School of Public Administration in areas relating to employment, labour relations and social policy.
He currently practices law in the Athens Bar and is a Mediator of the National Organization of Mediation and Arbitration for the settlement of collective disputes.
His research interests focus on the legal analysis of employment and labour relations agendas; he is author of two books and has published in Greek journals.
Panagiotis Zannis
